About
Yoga Teacher · Herbalist · Bodyworker
My approach to life and healing stems from my belief that we are all made up of many layers — physical, emotional, mental and energetic — which all need to be balanced in order to communicate with each other harmoniously, leading us to live balanced lives, aligned with our purpose.
— Eva Joan
her story
Eva’s journey began at 15, with her first yoga class — a moment of stillness that has never left her. She has been teaching yoga and sharing the practices that most matter to her ever since.
A yoga teacher, herbalist, bodyworker, and doula, Eva brings over 30 years of practice and a deeply holistic view of healing and well-being. Originally from France, her path has woven through Australia, Asia, Africa, Europe, and the Americas — shaped by curiosity, community, and a profound respect for the body’s intelligence.
She holds a 500-hour Yoga Teacher Training certification and is registered with Yoga Alliance as an E-RYT 200 and YACEP (continuing education provider). Her teaching is grounded, intuitive, and deeply personal — shaped by decades of living closely with the body’s rhythms and seasons.
Eva teaches primarily online, reaching students around the world, with occasional in-person intensives and retreats in her home in Brierfield, NSW, Australia.

Eva's approach to teaching and healing is rooted in one core belief: that the body, mind, emotions, and energy are not separate things to be fixed one at a time — they are a whole, and they speak to each other constantly.
Movement, breath, and touch as the first language of healing. Yoga and bodywork that meets you where you are — not where the textbook says you should be.
Feelings held in the body need space, not suppression. Eva creates containers where emotions can move — through breath, sound, and safe somatic exploration.
Quieting the mind is not the goal — learning to witness it is. Mindfulness, intention, and the slow unlearning of patterns that no longer serve.
Prana, vitality, and the subtle intelligence that animates all living things. Embodied Practices that restore flow at the deepest level.
Being a doula is one of the greatest honours of my life — to be given the opportunity to share one of the most precious and intimate moments in a woman's life. I have cried at more births than I can count. Not from sadness, but from the sheer, overwhelming privilege of being trusted to witness a miracle.
"Every woman arrives with her own story, her own fears, her own fierce love. My role is simply to be there — fully, quietly, completely."
Whether supporting a first birth or a fifth, in hospital or at home, my presence is the same: unhurried, attuned, and wholly in service to the mother and her family.
